Golf Flexibility Training Tip

There's a good bit of difference between standard flexibility training, which kind of limbers you up, and golf flexibility training.  Although they both share the goal of being able to play better and more easily, the resemblance stops there.

Close your eyes and think for a second about the different positions your body makes during the golf swing.  Now think again -- can you imagine some potential stretches for golf?  Keep turning that over in your mind for another minute, then come back and finish reading (I'll wait).

Improve Golf Swing -- You Want Me to be Flexible How?

The most common area a golfer should apply golf flexibility training is the backswing, impact and (of course) the follow through.

Hold on...isn't that pretty much the entire swing?  There's nothing left!  Or is there?  Glad you asked!

I'm talking here about golf flexibility training that incorporates stretches specifically for those positions.  A program to improve golf swing and ease of motion.

Think once again of your body's position at the top of your backswing; impact; and follow through into your finish.  See it?  Now you know your stretches!

(If you have problems visualizing this, you can have someone video you swinging.  Or, you can just watch and analyze the swing of a player you admire.)

The Biggest Swing Killer

With a capital "T" Tension is the biggest killer of your golf swing.  Tension robs you of both power and accuracy.  Not to mention speed (tense muscles make for slow muscles).

A powerful golf swing has just a minimal amount of muscle tension and the effort equals maximum distance plus accuracy.

Improve Golf Swing With Flexibility
